Oncology Center

The oncology physicians at St. Luke’s Hospital realize that cancer is as genetically different in each patient as a fingerprint. That means that our physicians will treat you as an individual: your care plan will be as unique as you are, and our oncologists will tailor and monitor your treatment plan to yield the best results for you.

The Northwest Ohio Oncology Center, located on the campus of St. Luke’s Hospital, is equipped with the best tools available in order to give you the individualized care that we so strongly emphasize. Center oncologists are skilled in the the latest in radiation and chemotherapy techniques, and our physicians can recommend the most sophisticated treatments available for you. For example, we offer intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). IMRT is a precise, targeted style of radiation therapy that allows for the radiation beam to change shape. The radiation beam can conform to the shape of the tumor-- so that the cancerous cells are targeted better and more healthy cells are spared than in traditional radiation therapy.

Though we use the most advanced medical techniques for treating cancer, we also realize that cancer care needs to go beyond the treatment itself. Our staff makes sure that you and your family have access to the latest information about cancer treatments and community services that will help you during the treatment process. From education to support groups, the resources you need will be here for you. To learn more about treatment at the Northwest Ohio Oncology Center, call us at 419-891-5600.
